its not a finished shot

well i'm a big fat dork... i never took finished photos of my christmas cottage that i made.... my partner does not have a blog either as far as i know , so this is what your getting to see... the just before finished photos.... i got some dollhouse sized icicles.... and a dollhouse sized nativity scene....... not only is the roof covered in glitter but i piled it up around the snowmen and nativity scene.... i made a front door and made a little wreath with little golden decorations out of seed-beads and a gold bow.... i really wish i had a pic of that... oh i also put faces on the snowmen and little scarves (ribbon) ... and i painted snow all over the sides of the cottage with a white out pen.... :) it was a super fun project.... my partner got hers so thats why im showing it now....

sneeky sneeky

i joined in on the charming cottage swap.... and so i'm showing a little sneeky peek of what a made... these aren't even shots of the finished product so that's even sneekier i guess , in case my parnter is lurking about.... hehe.... it was hard and fun at the same time.... its totally hand made out of chipboard, i tried to follow a pattern from online but i like the simply boxy look better... i'll show the whole thing after she gets it... it's twelve inches high! with lots of glitter.... and some other little things here and there... also i wanted to tell you guys about somthing really cool and new... a place to get your art published in a very cool new journal..... its gonna be awsome , i can just tell! go to http://theoptimistsquarterly.blogspot.com/ and read all about it.... i've submitted some things...

well I got my camara and the pics of MY AWSOME TUSSIE! melissa from http://thegardenofpinkshadows.typepad.com/my_weblog/ is just a wonderfull artist , isn't she? I love this tussie... I wish I could frame it... and of course the goodies were awsome... I don't even have it all pictured... she has a good picture of the tussie on her blog... check it out.... I didn't take the best photos sorry... but I just love it! how lucky is that to get her as a partner... I don't know if there's anyone out there who's not yet joined in any swaps but you gotta do it! they are so fun!

im pretty sure my partner doesnt come over here... at least i hope not... :) but this is what made.... of course its a bit far away... and im not telling whats inside.... i dont know if i did it right ... this is my first tussie mussie... you know here in germany they make them fur die kinder... and they're huge! they fill em up with toys and candy and give em out to the kids on the first day of school... kinda cool right? didnt know they were called tussie mussie's though.

just wanted to show the main thing i made for my partner.... she got it.... i loved making it ... and im going to have to make more... this one was painted in acrylics with stamping and fabric and sequins and a little sharpie marker! i like sharpies...

some swaps

i think its ok im putting these pics up cause im pretty sure NO ONE READS THIS BLOG ... :) haha... well i think some people are. anyways ive done some pages for a tip-in swap .... never done this one before but it was fun and i hope to do it again... im sending the tip-ins out in the mail today so i thought id post the pics. the purple pages have a marie antoinette theme , with one side having a digital collage i did and then printed out for the page. the other pages have a yard sale theme with things no one wants... like wadded up monopoly money and a broken hairbow etc. and the feature i like is that the pages have an old zipper glued to keep them together.

never heard of a tussie until i was reading the http://thejunkkdrawer.blogspot.com/ blog... and maria is having a tussie mussie goodie swap! sign ups dont end until this friday the 20th so you've got time! if your like me and never heard of a tussie before , its a party hat sized cone , covered in papers and decorated then turned upside down! tussie! then you fill with little bits and baubles and goodies... sounds fun and easy right? well like i said you've got until the 20th!

marie antoinette swap

well im not showing what i made or sent off to my swap partner debra over at http://www.hophopjingleboo.blogspot.com/ but i wanted to show this awsome necklace that i got from http://www.tarxt.com/ all in celebration of finishing my swap and sending it off! actually i just sent of my box today and got the necklace in the mail. also a pic of a really old mirror that my grandparents had forever and i somehow got , has a picture of what looks like one of the paintings i saw of marie antoinette in all the research i did on wikipedia. i encourage you to read up on marie. very fascinating woman. this was such a fun fun swap! ok ok i know its not over yet but i had a blast on my end! woooo hoo!
